No Homework Policy During Weekends for Students in the Philippines
62Department of Education (DepEd) just announced of a no homework policy or no assignment policy during weekend. How do you think about this? If you are reading this then you have anything to say about this I think. I forgot how it was like to have a homework during weekends in my elementary years. I think having many homework during weekend is really a big burden to students where the time is supposed to spend with the family.
Students will benefit in this policy. Will this policy have a goof effect on the student? Having many assignments during weekend will surely rob the time of both the parents and the children. So I think I will agree on this matter. How about the no quizz policy during Monday? Will this be included too? If teachers will give quizzes on Monday so students have to study during weekends and thus robbing the time of the students to their families.
What would be the reaction of the teachers on this? I think teachers would be out of burden too in giving assignments. There are really many parents who complain about many homework during weekend thus losing some quality time with their children.
The order is only from public elementary schools though. So how many public elementary schools in the Philippines? There are about 37, 600 schools. How many do you think are the total students in this school. There are really many which had an estimated total of 12.5 million students all over the Philippines.
Taking a 2 day rest during weekend, without the worry of low grades because of unmade class homework, is a really great proposal by DepEd. I tried to search about no quizz after weekend. Is there such policy as no quizz after weekends?
So we must spend quality time with our family. It helps a lot in our emotional quotient.

dapat lang po talaga na ipatuloy ang no homework policy during weekends to spent their time to their family,because we student spending almost 40 hours a week or 8 hours a day. and pagdating sa bahay during weekdays, lesson parin ang ina atupag, and we dont have any time to share to our family, thats why i as a student i agree to no homework policy during weekends to have bonding to our family. :-)
sana ang policy na ito ay magpatuloy.Kung alam lang nila ang hirap na pinag daraanan naming mga mag-aaral.Tutulong pa kami sa aming mga magulang pagkatapos non,poproblemahin pa namin ang homework namin pagkatapos ,wala na kaming time to have bonding with our family.........

gusto mapaganda ang dekalidad ng edukasyon. tapos pati homeworks, tatanggalin? ano namang klase yan. Ang pilipinas talaga GAYA-GAYA. hindi naman pareho ang quality ng edukasyon natin sa ibang bansa... sa totoo nga nahuhuli na tayo. parang nilelevel lang ang dekalidad natin sa mga bansang updated sa edukasyon.

super disagree w/ the policy...ano b?assignment will take just an hour or two, ano b mwawala sa mga bata,infact it could be bonding time dn with the parents. AS IF we have high quality of education here in pinas...
I super agree, as a mom a kinder1, the kids need a rest... play and its a quality time para sa family nila... for emotional support sa mga bata... :)

dapat pati sa private schools din ipatupad yan, may classmates and I are complaining na nga eh, buti sana kung puro solving lng ang assignments namin, sisiw lng un, pero research? Wow, ang hirap pang hanapin, I'm 15 only, look at my hair, may white hair nako, then super advanced pa lessons namin, Adv. chem, College Algebra, ung mga grade 2 may geometry, wow. then may accounting na kami HS pa lng kami. Hayz, sana sa private schools din ipatupad, its a big relief para samin

Disagree ako dahil gusto ko na magkaroon ng time para makasama ko ang aking mga kaibigan at saka isa pa tamad ako magawa ng assignment ko........

we need to reinforce the child to sustain thier learning by giving them an assignment at para rin hindi mawala kung ano ang kanilang pinag-aaralan sa school at bilang paghahanda sa susunod na topic na tatalakayin.
